Radiological Risk Assessment due to Radon and thoron in the Dwellings of Peddamula Village, Nalgonda District, Telangana, India

چکیده

Radon and thoron are significant contributors for radiological risk in indoors originating from decay chain of uranium thorium, which prevalent the environment. These concentrations depends on presence thorium concentration, lifestyle habitants. The village “Peddamula” is located neighbourhood area proposed mining exploration uranium. estimated concentration radon found range 14- 448 Bq.m-3 with an average value 120 ± 82 (GM 100Bq.m-3), vary 7 to 452 Bq.m-3with 154 111 112Bq.m-3), respectively. Computed contribution effective dose per annum from, 3.02 mSv.y-1 4.32mSv.y-1. In this paper seasonal variation distribution 222Rn 220Rn levels dwellings study will be discussed.
